2025 Playoff Procedures & Protocol
- Home team must provide an official scorer and libero tracker. Semi-Finals and beyond a neutral scorer and libero tracker will be used.
- Referees are used as line judges for all playoff games
- The higher seeded school is the HOME team on the scoreboard and the visiting team calls the coin toss for the first game. The home team calls the coin toss for the fifth game.
- All sites must have a scoreboard, public address system, radio, warm-up area, and spectator space.
- Each team must provide ample supervision for anticipated crowd control
- All score sheets kept by the official scorer must remain in the hands of the site director (home varsity coach). All score sheets must be given to Cathleen Dnyprowsky to be kept
in the Section 8 records. - Semi-Finals, Finals and Long Island Championship matches will use a neutral scorekeeper and libero tracker. Your scorekeeper/libero tracker cannot be at the table. Neutral warm up music will also be used at these matches
- Upon completion of the warm-ups the officials, facing towards the referee stand will:
- R1 / LJ1 will walk towards the referee stand on the left hand side of the net and take a position on the sideline.
- R1 will be closest to the net, followed by the LJ! standing on the right side of the R1.
- LJ1 will take their flag with them and place it on the stand during the ceremony
- LJ1 will take possession of their flag upon completion of the ceremony
- R2 / LJ2 will take their position on the right hand side of the net on the sideline, with the R2 standing nearest to the net, followed by the LJ2.
- LJ2 will take possession of their flag at the completion of the ceremony.

New York State Public High School Athletic Association.
The Nassau County Athletic Association recommends that the following regulations be observed:
- The use of noisemakers, musical instruments, radios, and the throwing of any objects will
not be permitted. - No booing or unsportsmanlike conduct at any time.
- No flash photography is permitted during game play.
